Hi! My name is Rick Wang and I'm 11 years old and I go to school at Montgomery Lower Middle School. I started piano when I was 5 and began studying with Mrs.C in August of 2022. I had recently moved here from Arizona. Back in Arizona, I studied piano with Dr. Svetlana from the Rachmaninoff Music Academy of Tucson from December 2018 to December 2020. I then began to study with Dr. Jinghua Pu until we moved.

Some of my piano achievements include winning first place in the 2019 Arizona State Music Teachers Association's James R. Anthony Honors Recital, 1st prize in the 2023 Franz Liszt Center Intl. Piano Competition, 2nd prize in the 2023 Orbetello Junior International Piano Competition, Gold prize of the 2023 Golden Key Music Festival, High honors in 2023 NJMTA Spring Recital Auditions.

Besides piano, I also play and enjoy sports. I swim and I play tennis. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and watching Youtube.

Overall, I think piano and music fit into my life and my personality greatly. And I am excited to play piano like I never had before by learning with Mrs. C.
