Hi, my name is Alex, and I'm almost ten years old. I have graduated fourth grade at Amsterdam Elementary School. I learned how to read music and recognize notes on the keyboard at age three. I started taking lessons at the age of five, with Ms. Kathryn Winter in Berkeley, CA, when my father was on sabbatical there. Following the covid pandemic, I took lessons from Ms. Chiu-tze Lin from 2021-2022, and I started in Mrs. Clarfield's studio in November 2022. This year, I won several awards, including Second Prize in the Piano Teachers’ Congress Competition and Gold in the National League of Performing Arts. In addition to piano, I enjoy reading, playing chess and contract bridge, and learning algebra in my free time. By the way, if anyone plays bridge please let me know!
