Hi! My name is Gina. I am 9 years old. When I was four, a relative gave me an electronic keyboard, and that's how I started learning piano. At first, it was just a hobby.
After about six months, my teacher told my mom that I had a good sense of music and suggested I get a real piano to practice. So my mom bought me an upright piano, and I began to take my lessons more seriously.
When I was five, I won first place in the Crescendo International Music Competition and also received the Gold level of the Golden Keys Festival. I was even invited to perform at Carnegie Hall.
The following year, at age six, I won first place again in the Crescendo International Music Competition and also received a prize check.
When I turned seven, my mother felt I should focus more on finger technique, so she found me a new teacher who majored in piano. I took online lessons with her for two years.
Two months ago, my mom heard about Mrs. C from a friend. I’ve already had three lessons with her, and I’m slowly getting used to her teaching style.
Becoming a pianist has always been my dream. I hope that with Mrs. C’s guidance, I can keep improving in every way and get one step closer to achieving my dream.
