Ryan is currently 8 years old and has lived in Marlboro, NJ for about a year. He is a fourth grader at Frank Defino Central Elementary School. He enjoys soccer, swimming, chess, and piano. Ryan started piano when he was five, and his piano teacher was Miss Olga Smirnova in PA. With Miss Olga, Ryan has had the chance to go to Carnegie Hall.

Now, Ryan has been studying with Mrs. Clarfield for a year and has earned several achievements. First, he got second place in the Elite International Music Competition. Then, Ryan got Grand Pix on Rising Talents Festival. He opened the concert nicely in Carnegie Hall. Finally, he got honors in the NJMTA Spring Recital. Ryan will earn more achievements in the future.

Ryan works hard on piano. Every night at 7:30, Mom practices with Ryan until 9:30. He gets occasional breaks, and video tapes most songs so he can review them. Whenever Ryan cannot finish one day’s practice, he makes it up in either the morning or the afternoon the next day.
