Benny Breaux is a 7th grader at Princeton Middle School. He began playing piano at the age of 5, and has been passionate about it ever since. Benny’s placed first/grand in many international and national music competitions such as National League of Performing Arts, Golden Key, Elite International, Rising Talent, NJMTA and Great Composers Series-Rachmaninoff. Benny was also the Intermediate Master Class selection at the 2025 NJMTA Annual Conference.
Composing music is also a love of Benny’s. In the winter of '22/'23 his first written piece went to the national MTNA composition competition as the midwest division elementary winner. This winter of ‘24/’25 his piece “Euphonic Dreams” went to the national MTNA composition competition as the eastern division junior winner.
When Benny’s not at the piano or composing, he’s camping with his Boy Scout troop, playing his saxophone, solving math problems, or hanging with his friends and siblings.
