Zijun Zhu was born in Taizhou, China. When she was a little girl, she always dreamed of being a piano teacher. After over two decades of trying and hard-working, she is an assistant professor in piano in the School of Music at Taizhou University since 2021 and is going to be a doctoral student in music education at Boston University. 

Zijun graduated from Soochow University with honors for her bachelor's degree in music education and psychology and went to Westminster Choir College for a master's degree in piano performance and pedagogy. She had spent two years learning from Professor Clarfield and gained lifelong knowledge and teaching skills. 

She won the 4th Hong Kong International Young Performance Arts Festival in Jiangsu Area and performed in Soochow University graduation commencement in 2016. She has been teaching, performing, accompanying and conducting after she graduated from school.
