Jacqueline Hua began studying piano with Mrs. Clarfield at the tender age of 5 and was her last-ever beginner student. Since then, she has participated in numerous piano competitions and had the honor of performing the first movement of Saint-Saens Concerto No. 2 in G minor with the Princeton High School Orchestra during her senior year of HS.
Jackie was eventually recruited as a Division 1 Fencer at Northwestern University, where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 2021 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2024. She is now a sports physical therapist whose career aspirations include working with USA Fencing and the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee. She is currently completing her sports residency at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX.
While attending college brought her time in Mrs. Clarfield’s studio to an end, she recently bought an electric keyboard and continues to play as a hobby. Among her previous repertoire, she hopes to maintain Debussy’s Claire de Lune, Chopin Nocturne Op. 15, No. 2 in F sharp Major, and Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, which remain some of her favorite pieces of all time.
