NJMTA State Conference
Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton, Princeton, NJ

We are fortunate to have a pedagogical legacy within our own NJMTA membership. John Perry is truly an icon and international legend in our profession. He is in high demand, as a performer, teacher, Master Class clinician, adjudicator, and lecturer.

As NJMTA teachers may or may not know, Ingrid Clarfield was one of John Perry's first students, as she was a freshman at Oberlin during John's first year there. John's pedagogical wisdom that Ingrid attained, was first passed on to Rose when she was 15 years old during Westminster's High School Piano Camp. This training continued as Rose received her Bachelors and Masters at Westminster Choir College. Rose is a highly respected, sought-after teacher and lecturer in New Jersey. Ingrid has been on the faculty of Westminster Choir College for 40 years is and well known nationally as a teacher, performer, clinician and author.

In this session, they will share their teaching philosophies and what they consider most important in shaping their teaching careers. They will also do short teaching demonstrations with their own and each other's students.

You can be sure this will be an energetic, fun filled session that will inspire teachers of all levels.
